Winemaker's Notes: Just as the morning mist tenderly veils the grand Blue Ridge Mountains, our Viognier softly graces bold Petit Verdot, as this blend pays homage to traditional Rhône-style blends of Syrah and Viognier. Born from fertile Virginian soil, Blue Ridge Veil is a composition of 90% Petit Verdot and 10% Viognier, embodying a vibrant interplay between boldness and elegance.  

The robust, dark-berried nature of Petit Verdot finds a whimsical companion in the floral notes of Viognier, creating a wine that captivates the senses. Each sip is a journey through contrasts and harmony, unveiling layers of complexity much like the gentle lifting of a veil.  

Impressions: The 2022 Blue Ridge Veil is a bold yet elegant blend of 90% Petit Verdot and 10% Viognier, showcasing a deep, inky hue and a captivating balance of power and finesse. Rich aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum dominate the nose, complemented by delicate floral notes of violet and honeysuckle from the Viognier. On the palate, layers of ripe dark berries unfold with hints of spice and subtle vanilla, leading to a structured finish with velvety tannins and a lingering touch of floral elegance.
